Welcome to Highland Ranch
Dear Highland Ranch Families,
I am honored and excited to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! As the new principal of Highland Ranch Elementary, I feel incredibly fortunate to join this warm and vibrant community. I bring with me 29 years of experience where I served as a classroom teacher in grades K–3 for 26 years and most recently as a middle school assistant principal for the past three years.
This journey has provided me with a strong foundation in both early childhood education and the skills necessary to lead a school with vision and purpose. My deep roots in primary education have shaped my passion for literacy, student engagement, and nurturing the whole child. At the same time, my experience at the middle school level has given me valuable perspective on what lies ahead for our students—and what we must do now to ensure they are prepared socially, emotionally, and academically for the future.
I am full of energy and enthusiasm as I begin this new chapter with the Highland Ranch family. I believe that strong schools are built on meaningful relationships, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you—our students, families, and staff. I believe in the power of collaboration and will work hard to listen, learn, and grow with our community as we build on the traditions that make Highland Ranch so special.
This year, our team is committed to high-quality instruction, a supportive and inclusive school culture, and a focus on student success and well-being. We are excited to continue beloved traditions like Family Flags, which celebrate the diversity of our school; kindness initiatives that uplift our community; and PTA/Foundation events that strengthen the essential home-school partnership.
My commitment to you is clear: I will lead with heart, integrity, and purpose. I will work tirelessly to ensure every student feels seen, valued, and part of our Highland Ranch family. Together, we will foster a school environment where our children grow in confidence, kindness, and curiosity.
Let’s make this a year of connection, growth, and joyful learning. Thank you for your warm welcome and for entrusting us with your most precious gift—your children.
Warmly,
Kirsten Williams, Principal Highland Ranch Elementary
